Collection: Sally Moore

Sally Moore was born in Barry, South Wales, in 1962. She trained at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford and Birmingham Polytechnic, where she completed an MA in Fine Art.

Early on in her career in 1987, she won a residency at the Delfina Studios Trust in East London and subsequently a scholarship to study at The British School in Rome. She has won awards at the National Eisteddfod and at the 1996 Discerning Eye Exhibition in London, where William Packer awarded her the Critic's Prize. Moore also won the Welsh Artist of the Year Award.

She has had numerous solo and participated in group exhibitions including Martin Tinney Gallery, Royal Academy Summer Show and the BP Portrait Award Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Sally's work has also been published in the book 'Sally Moore Acting Up' by Sansom and Company, author Peter Wakelin. 

She has work in many collections, including The National Museum and Art Galleries of Wales, National Library of Wales, Newport Museum and Art Gallery, Contemporary Art Society UK, Contemporary Art Society for Wales, Sunderland Art Gallery and private collections worldwide.

Her most recent exhibition was in 2020 at Pictorem Gallery, London.

She lives and works in London.
